How to Pitch Your Book to a Publisher/Agent Live (SIWC prep)

Description
A 3-hour facilitated roundtable in which tips will be given from a pro and extra knowledge comes from the group on how to prepare your book project, how to pitch it successfully live at SiWC (Surrey International Writer’s Conference or another writing conference with pitches), and how to prepare for what comes next. Participants are encourage to keep meeting as a support group until the fateful day in October. People who want to pitch in October should already be enrolled at SiWC 2017 for one or more days of the conference or they may be waiting for another conference or another year.

Creative Writing – Level 1 – 6 sessions

Description
Creative Writing can be fiction stories, blog posting, poetry or creative non-fiction works. It comes down to two basics: how you use words and how you tell stories. This 6-week course will review these basics in fresh ways that will stimulate and engage beginners as well as those who have been writing for awhile. Jump in and learn in a nurturing environment from Kathrin Lake, the author of two respected books on writing, Writing with Cold Feet and The A to Zen of Writing.
